Do you want to run Java programs, do you want to develop Java programs, or do you want a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) on a server? If you want to run Java programs, but not develop them, download the JRE. If you want to develop Java applications, download the Java Development Kit, or JDK. The JDK includes the JRE, so you do not have to download both separately. If you need the JRE on a server and do not want the ability to run RIAs, download the Java SE Server JRE. This version of the Java SE Server JRE does not include the Java plug-in or Java Web Start support, additional tools might be removed from future versions.

The JDK includes the JRE, so you do not have to download both separately. If you need the JRE on a server and do not want the ability to run RIAs, download the Java SE Server JRE. This version of the Java SE Server JRE does not include the Java plug-in or Java Web Start support, additional tools might be removed from future versions. The jre1.7.040 msi file is the one we can use to deploy 'Java Runtime Environment Version 7.0 Update 40' by using MSI technology. Don't forget Data1.cab because this is an uncompressed msi: Start up the AdminStudio Tuner and create a response transform file. We don't have any change log information yet for version 8-build-251 of Java Runtime Environment 32-bit. Sometimes publishers take a little while to make this information available, so please check back in a few days to see if it has been updated.

Download Java for Mac OS X Lion 10.7. There are several ways for updating Java on your Mac machine. One of the easiest way to locate, download and install Java is to use Software Update. For those who are unfamiliar with Software Update, click on the Apple menu (located on top-left corner of your Mac’s screen) and select Software Update.
Oracle just announced the release of Java SE 7 Update 6.Notable in this release is the merging of JavaFX into the Oracle Java SE installation, Mac OS feature parity with JDK 7, the release of JavaFX 2.2 and the release of JavaFX Scene Builder 1.0.

In order to run Java applets within a browser, you must install the JRE plugin manually. This does not apply to the Server JRE.
